CyberShield is a Chrome extension designed to detect phishing threats and analyze website safety using third-party security services. Your privacy is important to us, and this document outlines how CyberShield handles data.
API Keys: Users enter their own API keys for VirusTotal and AbuseIPDB. These keys are stored locally in browser storage and never shared externally.
Website Scanning: CyberShield only sends URLs to VirusTotal and AbuseIPDB for security analysis. It does not collect or track personal information.
CyberShield interacts with the following security services:
VirusTotal: www.virustotal.com
AbuseIPDB: www.abuseipdb.com
- API keys are stored securely in browser storage and never transmitted to third parties.
- All requests to VirusTotal and AbuseIPDB are encrypted for security.
- Users can delete or update their API keys at any time.
CyberShield does not collect, share, or sell user data, we only take your API keys as an user input and store it on your device only. There are no ads, trackers, or analytics in the extension.
